A doctor who believed in the system
I completed my medical degree with genuine conviction that conventional medicine had the answers. I became a General Practitioner and spent years in clinical practice — passionate about helping patients, following protocols, and trusting the standard of care I had been trained in.
But over time, I noticed a pattern that troubled me. Patients kept returning with the same complaints. We managed their symptoms, adjusted their medications — and yet, they never truly got better.
When I became the patient
It hit me personally. I was exhausted — not tired-from-overwork exhausted, but a deep, cellular fatigue that sleep didn't fix. I was gaining weight despite exercising and eating well. My mood, my concentration, my sense of self — all quietly eroding.
My own lab results came back "normal." I understood, for the first time, what my patients had been telling me for years. Normal ranges are population averages — not optimal. And nobody was looking at the full picture.
Going deeper into the science of longevity
I pursued a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine, then enrolled in the Anti-Aging Medicine Master Program, and began my ongoing Fellowship with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). I studied mitochondrial function, gut microbiome, nutrigenomics, hormonal physiology, epigenetics and biological aging.
The results in my own health were undeniable. And in my patients, they were transformative.
A virtual practice built on real results
Today I run a fully virtual functional and anti-aging medicine practice, working with patients across Indonesia and worldwide. I have written two books, appeared on international health podcasts, and built programs that bring this level of care to people who would otherwise never access it.
